About us

 

PLES zrt. owns the only independent manufacturing plant of steel wheels for commercial vehicles in the Central-European area.

 

The production plant is located in town Borsodnádasd (140 km from Budapest to the North-East direction), while the headquarters (top management, sales department) in Budapest.

 

Wheel manufacturing has a long tradition in our factory. Two types of wheels are produced:

 

Three parts wheel rims (TRILEX type) with the matching spacer rings have been produced since 1968.

 

Disc wheels with 15° drop-center rims for tubeless tyres have been produced since 1988.

 

With the acquisition of the majority of machines from the truck production line of Michelin Ruedas Espana in 2005 PLES started a huge project aimed at the significant enlargement of its production capacity for disc wheels.

 

The new production line has been gradually put into full operation. The project grants us a significantly stronger presence in the field of the truck wheel business. While increasing our production capacity we also put big emphasis on a bigger automotization of the production- and quality inspection process.

 

 

While marketing the increased amount of wheels, PLES benefits from:

 

- the expertise we have gained in selling wheels to both OEM and after-market customers in Europe, Russia and the Middle East,

 

- the ideal geographical access to steel raw material suppliers, and

 

- the ideal location to supply OEM truck and trailer producers re-locating their production to the Central-Eastern European area
